Research Assistant (Experiment/Theory)
Job description
- You will participate as a member of our experimental/theoretical team, and you will work as a member of OptQC while experiencing the work environment of optical quantum computer research and development.
- Specific details and working hours are dependent on various parameters such as the project at that time, and there are cases where requests cannot be met.
Eligibility
Required Skills and Requirements
- Currently enroll in a master or doctoral program in a major related to the Faculty of Engineering or the Faculty of Science (undergraduate students are not allowed in principle)
- Basic knowledge of quantum physics and mathematics at the undergraduate level
- Basic programming skills
- Motivation to study and absorb new research and knowledge
- Basic communication skills and self-management skills
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Knowledge and experimental experience with continuous quantum computers
- Knowledge and experimental experience with optical quantum computers
- Research and development experience with a small number of people and teams
- Academic writing experience
- Knowledge and experience with feedback control such as control theory
- Experience with electronic circuits/analog circuits/FPGAs
- Designing optical systems using lenses and mirrors
- Knowledge/research experience/implementation experience related to continuous quantum algorithms
- Knowledge and implementation experience with classical machine learning and neural networks
- Research experience using an actual quantum computer

Form of work
- Shift system (shift schedule is decided based on discussions)

Compensation
- Hourly wage 2000 yen to 6000 yen+α (determined according to experience and skill)
- Transportation expenses are paid
Holidays/vacations
- Two days off per week (Saturday and Sunday)
- Public holidays, year-end and New Year holidays
- Annual paid leave, congratulatory and condolence leave
